There are certain projects that capture our imaginations and passions because of their audacity and grand potential to benefit humanity. Even though we have no formal relationship with these teams, we do everything we can to support their efforts. We hope others will do the same.
Mars One is a not-for-profit foundation that will establish a permanent human settlement on Mars. Human settlement on Mars is possible today with existing technologies. Mars One's mission plan integrates components that are well tested and readily available from industry leaders worldwide. The first footprint on Mars and lives of the crew thereon will captivate and inspire generations; it is this public interest that will help finance this human mission to Mars.
The SeaOrbiter project consists of multi-disciplinary international programmes to explore the oceans. It heralds a new concept of observation, analysis, and continuous, long-term sampling through a network of manned floating SeaOrbiter stations. Their design and mode of operation will be particularly eco-friendly: the vessels will drift, following the ocean currents. SeaOrbiter will be the only vessels in the world allowing a 24/7/365 exploration on long-term missions of the open sea and the abyss.
